Reinforced Cement

Most concrete used for construction is a combination of concrete and reinforcement that is called reinforced concrete. Steel is the most common material used as reinforcement, but other materials such as fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) are also used. RCC is concrete that contains steel bars, called reinforcement bars, or rebars. This combination works very well, as concrete is very strong in compression, easy to produce at site, and inexpensive, and steel is very very strong in tension. It is called concrete mix design.
